The first of many
scrims with the PT guys. Both teams had alot of fun and we went to irc
afterwards to discuss strategies. Game 1 was a closer game.
Game 2 was
a 2 on 3 that turned into quite a GG fragfest. Obyte had some lag problems
but kept up the fight like a true sportsman.

We
had a scrimmage with Daermon Na'shezbaernon tonight on DM3 and had to drop
down to a 2 on 2 due to some missing folks on both sides. See if you know
what their clan name means. (Hint: D&D). We had a nice ping advantage
in this one! Thanks to Ammo for use of their server.
Game 2 of the night was with PJ again on DM3, and we managed a narrow victory.
Everyone was puzzled by Leo's self-destuctive
traits during the game ;) Thanks to LOD for use of their server.

In
interest to Lagitus, Quakecon overall was
a blast... (Except for the FIRST day, Wednesday) Leonardo,
Strato and I all sat next to each other because
of choice. Broken-Lag was there, but didn't show up until Wednesday night,
so he sat somewhere else. AnthaSux was also there early Wednesday and Thursday
from what he told me, but I assume he left because of all of the disorganization
and mass-confusion that was taking place at the time. Neither Leo
or I was in the deathmatch or 1 on 1 elimination tournaments, because of
the total chaos (Constant Power outages, network problems) of the first
day of Quakecon.

We
had our weekly match with Ammo and managed a win. Game 1 was DM6 deathmatch
3 settings. Toyman got disconnected and lost a bunch of frags ;( Leonardo
was the top Gang member.
Game 2 was the traditional DM3, and we held the rocket
room for a good part of the game resulting in a win. Overall we had a ping
advantage which helps out a lot. Thanks to Ammo for their server that we
used for both games.

We
had our first match with Ammo after a few weeks of scrimmaging. E2M2 was
the choice and we managed a victory. Ammo lost a few players, so their
score was actually higher than indicated. Thanks to Bones
for helping out and to Leo for finishing
first! A rematch will be coming soon. We were lucky the Cat wasn't playing
the whole game!

It
was time to even the score with those talented PJ folks. Both teams were
very rusty, and the killing of teammates ran rampant. Zaphoid
turned up the heat in the last 5 min to ensure victory. Thanks to
Ammo for providing the server for us. DM3 Deathmatch 3.
After
the match we had a 2 on 2 scrimmage with some AMMO folks and managed to
squeak in a narrow victory. At least with only 4 ppl its easy to find a
weapon!

Who
says we can't field a CTF team! Well 2 from the Gang
is better than none! Zaph and Strato
help AnthraSux beat the LL folks in a scrimmage. Typical Lag pings.
Thursday, June 5
Our
scrimmages with Ammo are pretty even as you can see by the screenshot.
BodyBag wins the sneaky player award as he
is always where you least expect him. Of course here his ping is much much
better than mine ;)

Jester
went crazy on a packed DM3 server and racked up some frags. Having
over 15 ppl on a server is pure chaos. Montoya's is set to DM3 24 hours
a day, so we quite often stop there to keep sharp (or dull sometimes).

I loaded up CTF4 and have started playing a few games
to learn the levels. In this 1/2 hour game I played Defensive Scout and
still outscored the flag carriers. These new levels are GREAT! They are
nice and large, providing some good bases for us defenders. Lets get a
CTF match soon, or help out the LL division in their games.

We has a scrimmage with a new clan called "The High
Ping Bastards" and in the spirit of their name, we all had shitty pings.
It was a fun game, and we hope to play them again before they practice
and get too good!
Tuesday, April 29
DOA did it again, showing excellent control of DM3.
Jester was the Gang leader and the only one
to end up with some frags! Ugh.
We
did a little better on DM4 and actually got all of our team to score some
frags! Final score 54-156 (approx.) and a Genocide loss for us ;(
Monday, April 28
We played PJ for the finals in the IQL, and came up short 132-183. We haven't practiced enough as a team and it showed tonight, as the Phone Jacks had a much better game plan on DM3. I worked hard for my 0 frags, and did have more fun that it might have looked like from the score. Thanks to Clan Doggus for organizing the League - lets have another for the summer!
On
DM4 we fared much better, but it was not enough! 5 on 5 DM4 is pure chaos,
and negative scores are quite common with teamplay 2 set. Thanks go to
Trion for stepping out of his spot in the
lineup due to shitty pings. As Arnie would say "We'll be back"
Saturday, April 26
Game one was on DM3, and Valid put on a good display for us - too bad he is on the other team! This was our first Genocide loss, and will hopefully get us to work on our teamplay skills. Score was 45-59. These folks are fun to play and are good sportsmen as well.
In
Game 2 on-a-stick jumped to a quick lead, and the game was looking like
a rout until we started gaining ground later in the game. But our comeback
was too late and we lost 72-90 for an overall match score of 117-149. Game
2 was DM4 on Duckfin's server, our new home arena. Thanks to the Ruthless
Bastards for helpings us out with a QW server.
Saturday, April 19
This was the last match for Clockwork Orange, but they put up a good fight and were in the lead near the end. We played on DM6 with deathmatch 3 settings, and won this Genocide match 69-61. This was our first match after a few weeks off, and it seems that the season is winding down. We may not be playing any matches over the summer.
Game one was DM4 on Vatech using deathmatch 3 and the Gang won 71-45. Deathmatch 3 seems to be a fairer setting, and equalizes the teams a bit resulting in a more enjoyable game. The new QW is good for matches even without the clanring mods.
Game 2 was on the Bong server, and they had to play
shorthanded for 3 minutes at the start of the game. We won this game and
the overall match 209-152. It was a fun game, and we will play these folks
soon now that they have a QW team!
Tuesday, April 8
I am not scheduling any matches until we get some
team practices in.
Saturday, April 5
Our game with the Hayseeds never happened, so we
headed to a death32 level for some fun. I got tired after 30 min. but Meth
and RobDog kept going and kicked some butt. Make sure you use the
w_switch 7 and b_switch 6 settings to control that annoying auto weapon
switch upon running over a weapon or backpack (hence the 2 settings).
Wednesday, April 2
We played week 4 of the IQL tonight with Clan Erinyes. Game one was DM3 on QW 1.5! Our practice scrimmage with Wasatch tonight was a blowout for the opposition, but it gave us some valuable experience with the new QW. This was the first victory of the new division!
Game 2 was their choice DM2, which gave us more trouble. Akira left near the end of the Game. RobDog and Meth lead the way on this level, as neither team could control an area for long. We played both games on Erinyes's server, which provided a smooth game. Thanks to Erinyes for a fun match.
